FAQs
Backtomeet is an unprecedented networking platform that harnesses our interest in connecting with others; if we take meetings from one set of people (those interested in us), we can get meetings with a different set of people (those we are interested in).
Backtomeet operates on a simple credit system where credits are termed “BTM’s” (short for Backtomeet) or “BTM Credits”.
Granting a meeting to someone interested in connecting with you earns you 10 BTM’s. You can then use those 10 BTM’s to meet any Backtomeet user you are interested in connecting with.
The more meetings you give, the more BTM’s you earn, and the more meetings you can request from others. Tit for tat.
Easy! You sign up with your LinkedIn credentials, so all you need is a LinkedIn account. As part of the sign-up process, certain elements of your Backtomeet profile will be populated automatically, and you will then have the chance to edit the information shown on Backtomeet.
After the sign up process is complete, you will be redirected to the Meeting Hub, where you can start to search for other users and request meetings.
The Meeting Hub is your “command center”, from where you can search for other users and request meetings, or see your BTM credit balance.
More specifically, the Meeting Hub is split into sections for ease of navigation: 1.- Search, 2.- Confirmed meetings (meetings that are already scheduled), 3.- Sent meetings (requested by you), 4.- Received (meeting requests you have received) and 5. BTM Credits (your credit balance).
Nothing 😁
No, but the only way of earning BTM’s is by accepting meetings, so that you can in turn request meetings.
Not yet 😅, but feel free to share this website with your family, friends and colleagues. The more people join, the better.
BTM’s are the currency Backtomeet operates on. You can earn and spend BTM’s by granting and taking meetings from other users. You will receive an allocation of 50 BTM’s when you first sign up.
All new users are allocated 50 BTM’s, free of charge.
No. The only way of earning BTM’s is by giving meetings.
When requesting a meeting, you will be asked to 1.- offer three meeting slots (date and time) and 2.- propose a video call or an in-person meeting. The recipient of the request may counter-propose with other alternatives. Once the meeting is agreed and confirmed, both users will receive a calendar invite and the meeting is set!
This is entirely up to you. Meetings can be:
1.- Through a videocall; you can do this by adding your own videocall link (Google Meet, Zoom or Microsoft Teams) to meeting requests or by using Backtomeet’s video platform.
2.- In person; you just need to specify the proposed location and address for the meeting.
Yes of course. When sending a meeting request, you will be invited to add your own videocall link (Google Meet, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, etc.) to the request. If this link is not added, Backtomeet will automatically generate a videocall link that will be added to the meeting calendar invite once the meeting is confirmed.
We recommend a duration of 30 minutes, but this is entirely up to requester and requestee.
We will ask you to do a quick review of the person you have met with. This is done only for quality control purposes, to ensure that everyone on the platform behaves and is respectful to others.
Please see our Values and Rules of Use for more information.
This is entirely up to requester and requestee, but we recommend setting meetings not too far into the future. The sooner the meeting takes place, the sooner BTM’s are exchanged; until then, BTM’s are kept on hold.
The transfer of 10 BTM’s is completed, and you will receive a notification to rate the meeting.
Yes, you can cancel a meeting as long as the cancellation occurs more than two hours before the scheduled meeting time. You can only cancel meetings through the Meeting Hub; cancelling the scheduled calendar invite you will have received does not cancel the meeting.
10 BTM’s are transferred once the meeting has taken place, but from the moment a meeting is requested, 10 BTM’s are put on hold. This hold is to prevent users sending multiple meeting requests at the same time.
You will be asked to specify a reason for the cancellation and invited to add a comment. You will also recover 10 BTM’s. Please note that you can only cancel a meeting if the cancellation occurs more than two hours before the scheduled meeting time.
You will be asked to specify a reason for the cancellation and invited to add a comment, and you will not earn 10 BTM’s. Please note that you can only cancel a meeting if the cancellation occurs more than two hours before the scheduled meeting time.
You will be asked to specify a reason for the withdrawal and invited to add a comment. You will also recover 10 BTM’s.
You simply need to access your Meeting Hub and navigate to the BTM Credits section.
